How It Works

LifePortal simplifies connection for both residents and their loved ones through one-on-one facilitated virtual visits. 

Step 1: Enrollment & Onboarding

Once a facility partners with LifePortal, we set up a brief onboarding session with the staff and/or family liaison. No tech expertise required — we handle everything from equipment to training.

Step 2: Resident & Family Intake

We collect contact information, availability, and preferences from family members. We also note any special considerations (memory loss, mobility, etc.) to ensure a personalized experience.

Step 3: Scheduling Visits

Our team proactively reaches out to families to organize virtual visits that work for both parties. We create a custom schedule and manage all communication so that nothing falls on the facility staff.

Step 4: Guided Virtual Visits

At the scheduled time, our coordinator is onsite to help the resident with setup, provide emotional support if needed, and ensure a smooth and enjoyable call. Families connect using their own smartphone, tablet, or computer — no app download required.

Step 5: Ongoing Support

We maintain regular contact with both families and the facility, adjust schedules as needed, and provide tech support along the way. Our mission is to make every visit easy, warm, and meaningful.
